Earthbound is the current contractor providing Wilderness First Aid instruction for the US Department of Geological Survey (USGS). From this, Earthbound has come to periodically offer a series of classes aimed primarily at the general public (as compared to medical professional or enthusiast); these classes are perfect for the "weekend warrior" or the backpacker or back country camper.
Should you have a small group desiring to take the class, please inquire, as we have been known to setup special (and/ur custom) classes to suit people's needs.

Natural Disaster can suddenly render your neighborhood a wilderness. Earthbound's signature two-day class, designed with the general public in-mind, takes you through basic wilderness first aid and helps give you the tools and confidence to make the right decisions out on the trail.
An intense weekend of medicine suitable for use in third-world countries where medical assistance is not an option. An ex-CIA medical director takes you through techniques and ideas that can keep small teams alive and functional in areas where even water isn't readily available. (Before taking this class, we encourage students to be familiar/comfortable with basic human anatomy)
Explore surrounding hiking trails with a journeyman-level botanist and find edible and medicinal plants along pathways that you may very well use yourself. This two-day class will give you hands-on demos and instruction on making your own salves, polstices, and other items out of things many people think of as only flora.
